What This Is:
This page is for private sellers.
Ministry of Motion does not buy bikes, list bikes, negotiate price, or take commission.
We provide independent, in-person inspections for interstate or remote buyers who want verification before transferring money.
If a buyer hesitates because they can’t inspect in person — this removes that barrier.
How This Helps You Sell:
Local markets are limited. Higher-value bikes often attract interstate interest — but remote buyers hesitate when they can’t see the bike themselves.
- Reduces buyer hesitation
- Broadens your buyer pool nationally
- Removes endless “more photos?” back-and-forth
- Signals transparency (you’re open to verification)
- Helps serious buyers commit faster
It won’t guarantee a sale — but it removes uncertainty, and uncertainty is what usually stalls one.
What It Costs You:
Nothing.
This is a buyer-paid service. If a buyer wants an inspection, they request it and pay directly.
Your only involvement is allowing access to the bike at an agreed time.
No commission. No listing interference. No obligation.
What This Is Not:
- Not a brokerage
- Not a consignment service
- Not a buying service
- Not a negotiation agent
- Not a listing platform
We don’t “bring buyers.” We help buyers who already have interest — but want independent verification and, optionally, purchase handling, for their own peace of mind.
How It Works (Seller Side):
1. A Buyer Enquires About Your Bike
If they’re interstate (or simply cautious), they may want independent verification before committing or sending any money.
2. The Buyer Requests An Inspection
The buyer submits the request to Ministry of Motion and pays the inspection fee (not you).
3. We Contact You To Schedule
You confirm a time and location that suits you. You’re always in control of access and timing.
4. The Bike Is Inspected And Documented
The buyer receives clear documentation and a recommendation. If they proceed, optional purchase handling and secure handover can be arranged.
You remain in control of the sale at all times.
How To Promote It In Your Ad:
If you want interstate buyers to feel more comfortable enquiring, add one of the following lines to your ad:
Short Version
Interstate buyers welcome — independent inspections available.
Medium Version
Interstate buyers welcome. Independent in-person inspections available via Ministry of Motion.
Full Version
Interstate buyers welcome. Independent pre-purchase inspections and optional secure handover available via Ministry of Motion (buyer-paid service).
Minimal (If You Don’t Want A Name)
Interstate buyers welcome — independent inspection available if required.
You don’t need to explain the whole service. Just signalling that independent verification is available increases buyer confidence.
FAQ (Seller Focused):
Do I pay anything?
No. This is buyer-paid.
Do you negotiate price?
No. We inspect and document only.
Do you bring buyers?
No. We assist buyers who already show interest but want independent verification.
What if the buyer walks away?
That’s a valid outcome. The inspection stands alone and there’s no pressure to proceed.
Does this slow the sale?
In most cases it speeds it up by removing hesitation and “unknowns”.
